Well, it was about time I got my lazy ass motivated and actually accomplished something. I think I finally came to the realisation that waiting around for inspiration just doesn’t work. So, where to begin? I dont really know actually, this blogging thing seems to be more difficult than I have previously anticipated. I suppose I could take a leaf out of Alcoholics Anonymous’ book, and write down my intentions and what I want to gain from undertaking this.
Its fairly simple. I aspire to one day write for a living, (yes, even to me it sometimes seems delusional) so it seems appropriate that people see what I can do. No point saying you can write and keeping it to yourself. Essentially, ima write whatever I’m feeling at the time, and it would be much appreciated if my readership (if any) tell me what they think and if they dig it.
I have an opinion on most things, and like to keep informed on how the world is holding up, so there’s gonna be alot of political type pieces. Not boring, over-articulated, meaningless politician type shit either, real shit. See, I’m saying shit. I’m already more real than those robot-esc bores. Oh, and I also digress from the point alot. You’ll become accustomed to it eventually. But I digress.
I would say one of the most prominent characteristics of my personality is cynicism. For better or worse, its true. So if you’re one of those ridiculous people that take everything at face value, and actually think the Prius is the saviour of the earth (for example), you probably won’t like me. Actually, in hindsight, a lot of people aren’t going to like what I’m saying. Oh well. I’ve never been that popular, I ain’t phased.
Coupled with my intense scepticism, is my resentment towards many aspects of modern society and popular culture. Nearly everything on the radio. Clichés. People following what’s cool. Today Tonight. Political Correctness. I could go on forever.
Lastly, I generalize a lot. I know its not fair but hey, everyone does it.
